Tai Yin (太阴星)

The Moon

The Taiyin star is a representation of the Moon, as opposed to the Taiyang star which represents the Sun. While Taiyin represents the feminine, Taiyang represents the masculine. The Taiyin star is gentle in nature while the Taiyang star is harsh in nature. In general, Taiyin stars favor people born at night, and Taiyang stars favor people born during the day. Taiyin symbolizes wealth and Taiyang symbolizes glory. The ancient Ziwei Doushu scholars used the Taiyin star to analyze the life of their mother, no matter if they are male or female as long as their mother is alive then this star can also represent her condition. Similarly, for men, the Taiyin star can be used to observe the life of his wife or daughter. The person under this star in the Self sector indicates that his face will be handsome (for men), for women her character is graceful and gentle, good at thinking, behaving politely, emotional but born calm, easily satisfied, has knowledge in many fields, likes literature or music, likes a quiet atmosphere, likes cleanliness and is good at taking care of the household. Her weaknesses are narrow-minded, fussy, suspicious of others, good at playing tricks, and likes to be alone.

There is a famous star formation involving the Tai Yin star called Yue Lang Tian Men (月朗天门) which is when the Tai Yin star is in the Hai position and the Tai Yin star becomes Hua Lu. People with this Self sector are highly intelligent, good-looking, talented, and can use their skills to achieve prosperity, popularity and good fortune. Another stars formation is called Yue Sheng Cang Hai (月生沧海) where the Tai Yin star is accompanied by the Tian Tong star in the Zi position. The Tai Yin star representing the moon in the Zi position is like the moon shining brightly in the middle of the night, then its rays and shadows are reflected in a cold lake pond, a soothing and very beautiful picture. Hence this stars formation is also called Sui Deng Gui Er (水登桂萼). A person with this stars formation is graceful, gentle, and very beautiful or very handsome when he is a man. And their life can be lucky because of their appearance that attracts others.
