How To Plot a Ziwei Doushu Chart​

• Identify the Heavenly Stem in the Yin 寅

The first thing you have to do is determine what Heavenly Stem is in the Yin 寅 sector? This sector is in the bottom left corner. To find out the Heavenly Stem, then we have to know our birth year based on Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch. For example, in the example above, the man was born in the year of Wu Shen (戊申) so next we use the Five Tiger Formation (五虎遁) formula which is as follows:

Based on the table above, a person born in the year of Wu Shen (戊申) has the Heavenly Stem of the year of Wu (戊), which in the Five Tiger Formation is Jia (甲), so the Heavenly Stem in the Yin 寅 sector starts with the Heavenly Stem of Jia 甲.
