How To Plot a Ziwei Doushu Chart​

• Place the Self Sector 命宫 where it belongs

To determine the position of the Self sector, you need to know your Lunar month of birth and hour of birth. The formula is as follows :

1. Starting from the position of the Yin 寅 sector, count clockwise to the Lunar month of your birth.
2. Once you know the last position of your birth month, next still in that position now count counterclockwise to the hour of your birth.

1. The last position after counting counterclockwise based on your birth hour order in the table above is the position of the Self Sector 命宫.

The following chart is derived from the above example:

Male, born on March 9th, 1968 at 04:30. Lunar Calendar: 11th day, 2nd Lunar month, year of Wu Shen (戊申) or year of the Earth Monkey, hour of the Tiger (Yin 寅).
